Dr. Dirk Lange

Dirk is a microbiologist who earned his Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Western Ontario (London, Ontario) on understanding the role of the capsular polysaccharide in the pathogenesis of Campylobacter jejuni. He is involved in collaborative work at Vancouver General Hospital in the area of ureteral stent-associated morbidity, with specific emphasis on biomaterial design and the development of mechanisms that prevent bacterial adhesion, colonization, and biofilm formation.
