Lawrence Lund, Smithers, B.C.
Lawry Lund, Kisolite Corp President, has a broad range of experience. Starting in 1977 as a journeyman glazier led to a partnership in one of Canada’s largest independent wholesale and retail glass companies. From there, his entrepreneurial spirit led him to successful ventures in logging, construction, land development and tourism. Through the tourism business, Lawry worked closely with the Heiltsuk First Nation on the Central Coast of BC, which led to an opportunity to develop the Kisameet Bay clay deposit.
Lawry, along with Doug Frankiw and Rowland Hanson, started Kisameet Glacial Clay Inc. in 2008 and pursued a vision to test the mineral clay and bring products to market. Lawry’s broad range of experience in logistics, marine operations, and manufacturing lend practical direction to the supply chain, while his knowledge of the mineral clay has guided the large collective of scientific inquiry that is ongoing.
John Johnston, West Vancouver, B.C.
John Johnston, Kisolite Corp CEO, has worked in finance and leadership roles. Most recently he was COO of Metro Vancouver Properties, a private real estate firm with over 600 employees and contractors. He is a Director of Listel Canada Inc. (1985), a Tokyo based hotel group with 200 employees in Canadian operations. Johnston was the founder of Klondike Star Mineral Corporation (2003), a publicly traded mineral exploration company, now Klondike Gold (TSX). Johnston had a 20 year career as an investment dealer with Canaccord Capital Corporation. He was Sport Director for the Vancouver Olympic Bid, founder of the FIS Freestyle World Cup, was inducted into the Canadian Ski Hall of Fame, and is an Honorary Member of the International Ski Federation.
Dan Hunter, Chilliwack, B.C.
Mr. Hunter has been actively involved in structuring, building and financing both USA and Canada based private and public companies for more than 35 years. He spent the first 20 years of his professional career as a Canadian based securities broker specializing in structured financings and market trading for junior and intermediate sized companies. At the time of his decision to retire from the securities industry in 1998, Mr. Hunter was a part owner of and a securities broker with Canada’s largest independent brokerage firm at that time.
From 1998 to the present, he has focused on sourcing and evaluating various financeable investment opportunities as well as operating private firms specializing in all aspects of corporate administration, management and private equity financing.
In 2009 he founded the Canadian based Greenhill Group of Companies which now specialize in corporate development including consulting and administrative services such as accounting, private finance, tax and regulatory matters for both private and public companies. In 2016, wholly owned Greenhill Equity Solutions Ltd. was formed to develop exclusive software, with its in-house development team, to automate private placement financing, proxy services and private equity transactions for its client companies. Greenhill works with an extensive group of entrepreneurs, business associates, securities lawyers and other professionals that refer potential high-caliber projects to Greenhill for its consideration.
